House of George

The Big Easy Group opened Yiasou George with a bang in 2019. Fresh steamy pita and fall apart lamb direct from the wood oven quickly became crowd favourites, and when the ouzo shots inevitably flowed good times were sure to follow.

Prompted by incoming Head Chef and legend of the Aussie food scene Sav Sexton, Yiasou George has undergone renovations with the new era of ‘George’ that began in early June 2023 and House of George was born.

With a name like ‘Yiasou George’ people came to expect traditional Greek cuisine, however House of George is all about taking inspiration from the greater Mediterranean and not being afraid to push the boundaries, putting our own spin on the classics and creating plenty of our own.
