  • Oliver Brown - Co-founder & CEO

    Oliver 'OJ' Brown, co-founder and CEO of the Big Easy Group, which has been a driving force in Adelaide's hospitality scene since its inception.

    Since launching NOLA Adelaide in 2015 the Big Easy Group has gone on to expand into a series of successful venues like Anchovy Bandit and La Louisiane. Since day one of the Big Easy Group Oj has been passionately helping to deliver on the group's mission of creating unique customer experiences and empowering people to do what they love.

    Beyond managing the Big Easy Group, he has contributed to Adelaide's future as a board member of the Adelaide Economic Development Agency while receiving nodes in the Premier and Cabinets Force Forty and Indaily's 40 Under 40.

    Known for his love of whiskies and hands-on involvement in his businesses, it's Oj's mission is to continue to see the Big Easy Group brighten people's day one froth or coff at a time.

  • Josh Talbot - Co-founder & General Manager

    Josh Talbot is one of the founding partners of the Big Easy Group and a real humble operator. Josh was working as a Mechanical Engineer when he decided to pursue his love of beer and open NOLA Adelaide back in 2015.

    This love of beer turned into a love of all things hospitality, and he has helped grow the Big Easy Group from operating one venue to four. Josh still oversees operations at each venue and helps map out strategies for growth. Josh loves just getting things done and still loves stocking beers that excite him, he is quite partial to blowing the top off a cold one himself.

  • Jack Booker - General Manager

    Jack Booker has been with the Big Easy Group since its inception in 2015. He was part of the founding team at NOLA and proceeded to work his way up through the ranks. Once he finished his studies in Speech Pathology, he decided to pursue a career in hospitality.

    Jack was one of the founding partners of Big Easy Venues, The Stag Public House, and Yiasou George. He has since gone on to become a shareholder in Anchovy Bandit and Bottega Bandito.

    After spending the last 8 years serving tables and slinging drinks, Jack has stepped out of a Venue Management role to take on the role of Operations Manager across the Big Easy Group.

    Jack’s mission is to break the mold of old-school hospo and do things a little differently. His focus surrounds building world-class training while ensuring that our staff love what they do. Jack is achieving this through building a specific wellness program within the group.

  • Alex Bennett - General Manager

    Al “Morty D” Bennett. Al has been with the group since its inception, working on the opening team at NOLA in 2015.

    Since then, Al partnered with the Big Easy Group on its second venture, Anchovy Bandit in 2018. Anchovy Bandit and Al have flourished since then, expanding the dining room, and adding on a daytime concept, Bottega Bandito. Al has also helped expand the Bandit brand outside of Prospect with a spin-off, Bandit Pizza and Wine in Hyde Park.

    Al loves cured meats, wild assumptions and a yarn with the Prospect locals. If you see Al out, he will most certainly be repping some sort of Bottega merch. Take a moment to grab him for a chat, he loves it!

  • Ali Peck - Events & Functions Manager

    Ali Peck joined the Big Easy Group family in February 2020 taking on a role at Prospect venue Anchovy Bandit. Despite the obvious challenges of a global pandemic, Ali has demonstrated so much resilience working with us. Delivering wine and pizza to our locals during the lockdowns, and just being an all-around great team member.

    Ali’s loyalty and hard work at Anchovy Bandit during this challenging time lead to her helping us expand the site by taking on the role of Restaurant Manager, before stepping over into our events team to pursue her passion. There is nothing that Ali loves more than hospitality, it is, to quote Ali “her life” and encompasses all that she loves, food, booze, banter and good times.

    Ali now heads the Function and Events department and is our go-to gal when it comes to bringing our packed events calendar to life.
